Preview: 'Samantha Who?' Season 2

The second season of ABC's sitcom about a woman with amnesia who's trying to live a better life premieres this week. Here's a look at the first episode.

Where We Left Off: Samantha (Christina Applegate) had broken things off once more with on-again, off-again boyfriend Todd (Barry Watson) and quit her job at a high-powered real-estate firm.

How the New Season Shapes Up: As always, Samantha Who? inspires more warm smiles and occasional chuckles than out-loud laughs, but that's not really a problem. Applegate remains winning as a woman determined to become a better person, and the supporting cast (including recent Emmy winner Jean Smart as Samantha's mother) rounds things out nicely. You may not find Samantha hilarious, but you will almost always have a good time watching it.
