''Til Death' Near Death?
I've made no secret of my loathing for odious Fox sitcom 'Til Death, so I was pleased to see that the network's roundup of its upcoming November-sweeps programming included a small note that 'Til Death will be on hiatus at least for the month of November, replaced by House reruns ('Til Death had been running double episodes since the cancellation of Do Not Disturb, although it's been off since October 8 thanks to baseball postseason coverage). There's no definite word on whether the show will return, although with completed episodes in the can, there will probably at least be a burn-off at some point, perhaps over the summer.
I hope that Fox puts the show out of its misery after that, though, because I like star Brad Garrett, and would prefer to see him move on to something a little more deserving of his talents (his online series Dating Brad Garrett is probably not that project). With 'Til Death gone, Fox will be without a single non-animated prime-time comedy, and maybe this will give them the opportunity to head back to square one and come up with something deserving of their distinguished comedic legacy.
