Classic TV Comedies Get Postage Stamps

The U.S. Postal Service has announced its 2009 plans for commemorative stamps, and one series set for release honors the early days of television. The Early TV Memories series will feature stamps showcasing I Love Lucy, The Honeymooners, The Phil Silvers Show, The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet and more, along with early dramas and variety shows. The series will be dedicated August 11 in Los Angeles, at a ceremony open to the public, and available at post offices everywhere after that.
