ABC has given full-season orders to three of the four shows in its new Wednesday-night comedy lineup: The Middle, Modern Family and Cougar Town will all be around for 22 episodes, leaving only the Kelsey Grammer show Hank without a full season yet. Hank is both the lowest-rated and easily the worst of the new ABC comedies, and with its laugh track and multi-camera setup, also the most old-fashioned and bland. My guess? Hank will bow out early, and one of the network's two other comedies that are being held for midseason (either Scrubs or Better Off Ted) will take its place. I certainly won't be sorry to see Hank go, and while I'm not that crazy about The Middle or Modern Family, I'm happy to see Cougar Town stick around, and happy that another network has managed to find some success with comedy this season.
