The new fall season kicks off this week, but it's not exactly off to an auspicious start with the debut of The New Normal tonight at 10 p.m. EST on NBC. Co-created by Ryan Murphy of Glee and American Horror Story fame, The New Normal has gotten a lot of attention for its portrayal of a gay male couple looking to have a child via a surrogate mother.
