Although a number of new shows popped up in the TV comedy nominations for the Golden Globes in 2010, the 2011 nominations were mostly unchanged from the previous year. The new faces did well, however, with Laura Linney winning in her first nomination for Showtime's The Big C and Jim Parsons winning after finally being nominated for The Big Bang Theory.
In the mixed categories for supporting actors, which also include dramas, miniseries and made-for-TV movies, musical dramedy Glee also picked up wins for Chris Colfer and Jane Lynch.
