Bio and Background: David Kohan was born in New York in 1964 and raised in Los Angeles. He was educated at Wesleyan University in Connecticut where he majored in English and philosophy. After graduating in 1986, he moved to Los Angeles to start writing for "It's Garry Shandling's Show."
TV Comedy Resume: David Kohan is creator and executive producer of the hit comedy series Will & Grace. He is also an executive producer on the new CBS comedy "The Stones."
Kohan joined his childhood friend, Max Mutchnick, to begin a successful writing collaboration that has garnered the duo several awards and nominations, including an Emmy for Outstanding TV Comedy and a People's Choice Award for Favorite TV Comedy.
