New Girl features quirky single girl Jess, who moves in with three male roommates after dealing with a bad break-up. Along with her best friend Cece, Jess shakes up the lives of her roommates, while they in turn help with hers.

History:
The pilot for New Girl was shot featuring Damon Wayans Jr. as Coach, one of Jess’ roommates, but when he was obligated to his role on Happy Endings, Lamorne Morris was cast as a new character for later episodes.
