To most people, Jenna’s dog Wilfred is just an ordinary dog, but her neighbor Ryan sees Wilfred as a crude, mischievous man in a dog suit, whose reckless attitude toward life is just what Ryan needs to shake up his go-nowhere life.

History:
Wilfred started out as a series on Australian TV network SBS One in 2007, co-created by Jason Gann and Adam Zwar, who also starred in the show. It was aired in the U.S. on IFC, and picked up by FX for an American remake in 2011, with Gann reprising his role as Wilfred.

Wilfred was developed for U.S. TV by David Zuckerman, a former writer-producer for Family Guy and American Dad, based on the Australian series created by Jason Gann and Adam Zwar.
