Family sitcom According to Jim follows the lives of suburban dad Jim, his wife Cheryl, their five kids and Cheryl’s brother Andy. Gruff, macho Jim may sometimes get fed up with his family’s antics, but in the end he’s a completely devoted husband and father.

History:
According to Jim helped revitalize ABC’s sitcom lineup when it premiered in 2001, and proceeded to outlive all the other successful ABC comedies of the time. The show’s ratings declined over the years, and in 2007 ABC even announced its cancellation, before reversing that decision and bringing Jim back for a seventh season. The ax finally fell for the show after its eighth season in 2009.
