Californication follows the life of hedonistic Los Angeles writer Hank Moody, who has trouble following up the success of his first book. Hank tries to be a good father to his daughter Becca (and still carries a torch for her mother) while also sleeping with every attractive woman in L.A.

History:
Californication has proved a modest success for Showtime, and has been nominated twice for a Golden Globe award for Best Comedy Series; star David Duchovny won a Golden Globe in 2008 for his portrayal of Hank Moody.
