'How to Make It in America' Profile

How to Make It in America follows the efforts of 20-something New Yorkers Ben and Cam to launch various schemes and improve their lives via fashion design, art projects and anything else that can bring them fame and fortune. As Ben and Cam try to make a name for themselves, they hit the clubs and parties that make up New York City’s social circuit.


February 14, 2010-November 20, 2011 (two seasons, 16 episodes) on HBO

How to Make It in America premiered in February 2010 to mixed reviews but solid ratings, and after the first season wrapped, HBO ordered a second. It didn't air until fall 2011, more than a year and a half after the first season ended, and with low ratings, the show was canceled after its second season finished.
