In the Motherhood follows three modern moms in various stages of life: Jane is newly divorced and raising both a preteen and a newborn; Emily is an overconfident stay-at-home mom to two school-age kids; and Rosemary is a single mother to a well-adjusted teenage son.

History:
In the Motherhood started out as an online series using real stories submitted by actual moms as the basis for its episodes, and was then picked up by ABC as a half-hour broadcast sitcom. Original cast members Chelsea Handler, Jenny McCarthy and Leah Remini were eventually replaced as the show developed into its ultimate TV incarnation. ABC aired only four episodes before pulling the show due to low ratings in April 2009; a planned burn-off of the remaining three installments in June 2009 lasted only one week.
