Charlie Harper, confirmed bachelor and successful writer of advertising jingles, has his world turned upside down when his brother Alan and Alan’s son Jake move in with him following Alan’s separation from his wife. Charlie has to adjust his self-indulgent ways to make room for family, and he, Alan and Jake all have to deal with unexpected new developments in their lives.

Two and a Half Men has consistently been one of CBS’ most popular shows since its premiere in 2003. The show has been nominated for numerous Emmy and Golden Globe awards, but has only won Emmys in technical categories. During the show's eighth season, star Charlie Sheen's increasingly erratic personal behavior, including various arrests, led the network and production company Warner Bros. to fire Sheen from the show. Ashton Kutcher was announced as his replacement for the ninth season.
